The SOUND mind

 

JESUS tells the church of Laodicea:

Revelation 3:18

King James Version

18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold 

tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; 

and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, 

and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; 

and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, 

that thou mayest see.

We care about you.

We care what happens to you.

We go through great extent to know GOD's laws.

And in GOD's laws is peace of mind.

Including truth, beauty, and justice.

We know these, from being born again.

How does the Bible define a sound mind?

We shall find out from these verses:

Isaiah 26:3-4

3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, 

whose mind is stayed on thee: 

because he trusteth in thee.

4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: 

for in the Lord Jehovah 

is everlasting strength:

Romans 12:2

King James Version

2 And be not conformed to this world: 

but be ye transformed 

by the renewing of your mind, 

that ye may prove what is that good, 

and acceptable, 

and perfect, 

will of God.

1 Corinthians 2:16

King James Version

16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, 

that he may instruct him? 

but we have the mind of Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:3

3 But I fear, 

lest by any means, 

as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, 

so your minds should be corrupted 

from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Galatians 5:22-23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit 

is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, 

gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: 

against such there is no law.

Philippians 4:7

7 And the peace of God, 

which passeth all understanding, 

shall keep your hearts and minds 

through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:8

whatsoever things are true, 

whatsoever things are honest,

1 Peter 1:13-16

Now, we know the sound mind, through CHRIST.

What about a broken mind?
