The RIGHT mind

 Titus 2:12

King James Version

12 Teaching us that,

denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,

we should live soberly, righteously, and godly,

in this present world;

What does having a "right mind" mean?

As basis for this post, we focus on the verse above.

We are taught to deny "ungodliness and worldly lusts".

As well as to live "soberly, righteously, and godly".

Necessary, and worthy traits, for all.

But how do we become all that?

What must we do?

Why must we be godly?

What happens if we aren't?

What does the Bible say?

Why should we believe the Bible?

The instructions are clear.

For older men:

Titus 2:2

King James Version

2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate,

sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

For older women:

Titus 2:3

King James Version

3 The aged women likewise,

that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness,

not false accusers,

not given to much wine,

teachers of good things;

For young women:

Titus 2:4-5

King James Version

4 That they may teach the young women

to be sober,

to love their husbands,

to love their children,

5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home,

good, obedient to their own husbands,

that the word of God be not blasphemed.

For young men:

Titus 2:6-8

King James Version

6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works:

in doctrine shewing uncorruptness,

gravity, sincerity,

8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned;

that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed,

having no evil thing to say of you.

For servants:

Titus 2:9-10

King James Version

9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters,

and to please them well in all things;

not answering again;

10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity;

that they may adorn

the doctrine of God our Saviour

in all things.

You will want to know why.

Why must we follow those teachings?

For what purpose?

To what end?

JESUS tells us why:

Mark 1:15

King James Version

15 And saying,

The time is fulfilled,

and the kingdom of God is at hand:

repent ye,

and believe the gospel.

Apostle Paul tells us why:

Titus 2:13-14

King James Version

13 Looking for that blessed hope,

and the glorious appearing of the great God

and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

14 Who gave himself for us,

that he might redeem us from all iniquity,

and purify unto himself a peculiar people,

zealous of good works.

JESUS is the "grace of God that bringeth salvation".

He came to "redeem us from all iniquity".

He came to "purify" us from our sins.

It's all preparation now, for the Rapture.

Would you be ready?

Are you born again?

Are you walking with SPIRIT?

Have you accepted JESUS as your Savior?

As born again, we all need to walk the path of holiness.

Leviticus 19:1-2

King James Version

19 And the Lord spake unto Moses,

saying,

2 Speak unto all the congregation

of the children of Israel,

and say unto them,

Ye shall be holy:

for I the Lord your God

am holy.

Matthew 5:48

King James Version

48 Be ye therefore perfect,

even as your Father which is in heaven

is perfect.

1 Peter 1:15-16

King James Version

15 But as he which hath called you is holy,

so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

16 Because it is written,

Be ye holy; for I am holy.

And what happens if unbelievers continue to resist God?

Insisting they continue with their wicked ways.

Well, Scripture says the wicked shall perish.

They have no idea GOD's WRATH.

The gates of the New Jerusalem cannot be opened for them:

Revelation 21:27

King James Version

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it

any thing that defileth,

neither whatsoever worketh abomination,

or maketh a lie:

but they which are written

in the Lamb's book of life.

Revelation 22:14-15

King James Version

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments,

that they may have right to the tree of life,

and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers,

and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters,

and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

We cannot say we do not know GOD's laws.

Scripture reminds us all the time.

Constantly, faithfully, lovingly.

JESUS was sent.

Apostles, and ministers, have been sent.

To teach us the WORD of GOD.

That we may all be saved.

Both Jew, and Gentile.

All we have to do is accept JESUS.

He, Who died, rose, and loves us all.

John 10:10

King James Version

10 The thief cometh not,

but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:

I am come that they might have life,

and that they might have it more abundantly.

Lastly, why should we believe the Bible?

Is it the ULTIMATE authority on GOD's laws?

JESUS is.

He is the WORD of GOD.

The WORD of GOD is the Bible.

It is always FULL circle.

It always goes back to JESUS.

There is no more excuse not to be saved.

The LAST emissary has been sent.

All we have to do is accept His invitation.
