Romans 8:5

do mind the things of the flesh;
but they that are after the Spirit
the things of the Spirit.
Perhaps, the mind is the last frontier of our spirit.
That's why the devil tries to corrupt it.
Through lust, pride, greed, envy, alcohol, vanity.
And mind-altering substances.
Constantly bombarding us with filth.
And lustful desires.
With man non the wiser.
Thinking it's all physiological.
And not supernatural.
The Bible tells us about the battle for our minds, bodies, and spirits.
Which happens in the unseen world.
From the unseen enemy:
2 Corinthians 4:4

lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ,
who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Ephesians 2:2

the spirit that now worketh
in the children of disobedience:
Ephesians 6:12

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against principalities,
against powers,

That's what we're all up against.
We're in a supernatural battle.
With the devil intent on destroying our souls.
By corrupting our minds, bodies, and spirits.
But GOD doesn't want anyone to perish.
2 Peter 3:9

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise,
as some men count slackness;
but is longsuffering to us-ward,
not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance.
The very reason He sent His Son, JESUS.
John 3:16-17

16 For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world
to condemn the world;
but that the world through him
might be saved.
In JESUS is our salvation.
In Satan, our destruction.
It's really as simple as that.
